Gabrielle R. Chiaramonte, Ph.D., received a Bachelor of Arts from Fordham University, a Bachelor of Science from Stony Brook University, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with specialization in Health Psychology from Stony Brook University. Dr. Chiaramonte completed her Clinical Psychology Internship at Weill Cornell Medical College / NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and completed post-doctoral training at the Program for Anxiety and Traumatic Stress Studies (PATSS) at Weill Cornell Medical College / New York Presbyterian Hospital where she currently serves on the clinical faculty. Dr. Chiaramonte has expertise in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and has worked with many 9/11 first responders and civilians as well as members of the US military, victims of accidents and crimes, and burn victims. She also has expertise in stress reduction and the treatment of psychological symptoms in individuals with medical illnesses such as heart disease, cancer, and auto-immune disorders. Her award-winning research has examined factors that contribute to the misdiagnosis of heart disease in women. Dr. Chiaramonte's clinical approach is integrative with a strong focus on cultivating an individual's strengths in order to improve coping and increase resilience and well-being.

Dr. Chiaramonte joined LIBM in 2012 and in 2014 founded The Stress Reduction Center (SRC). The SRC offers mindfulness-based interventions incluuding the 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course  and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) to individuals and groups.

Dr. Chiaramonte has attained the highest level of training in MBSR from the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts' Medical Center and completed professional training under the direction of Drs. Jon Kabat-Zinn and Saki Santorelli.   She is also certified to teach the Mindfulness in Schools Project's (.b) Curriculum to young people aged 11-18.

Joanne Taormina received her Bachelor's degree from Cornell University and her MSW from Smith College, School for Social Work. She has been working as a clinical social worker for over 27 years in Ithaca, NY. Her areas of expertise include death and dying, loss and complicated grief reactions, parenting and relationship issues, depression, anxiety disorders and PTSD. She works with adults ages 18 and older and has extensive experience treating college students and faculty. She is certified in the treatment of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). In addition to maintaining a private practice, she has worked as a hospice social worker and as an elementary school social worker in Ithaca, New York. Joanne has training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) from the Oasis Institute for Mindfulness-based Professional Education and Training, at the UMass Center for Mindfulness. Joanne holds a holistic perspective of the mind/body connection and a deep belief in our inherent wholeness and innate capacity for wisdom, healing and well-being. Joanne provides individual psychotherapy, EMDR treatment and MBSR courses.

She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA).
